Use this adapter when your charging cable or station has a SAE J1772 Type 1 AC plug, and your EV has an IEC 62196-2 Type 2 AC charging port.

Not always. The real charging current depends on the station output, vehicle onboard charger, voltage, cable path, and vehicle settings.
