Level 1 vs Level 2 — what's the difference?

  • Level 1 (120V): ~4–5 miles of range per hour. Good for overnight top-ups if you drive less than 40 miles a day.
  • Level 2 (240V): ~20–40 miles of range per hour. Needs a 240V outlet (dryer outlet, NEMA 14-50, etc.). Full charge overnight for most EVs.

Dual-mode models (Level 1 + Level 2) give you both in one unit — the most flexible option if your charging situation changes.
