Read this product direction from charging source to vehicle inlet. Plug the J1772 connector from a compatible Level 1 or Level 2 AC station into the adapter, then connect the Tesla NACS end to the vehicle.
This is not the reverse path. If you have a J1772 / Type 1 vehicle and need to use a NACS AC charging source, choose the NACS-to-Type 1 direction instead.
This adapter supports Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging only. It is not compatible with DC fast charging stations. Tesla vehicles use Superchargers through their native NACS port; this adapter is for J1772 AC public, workplace, hotel, destination, and home EVSE charging.

This solves the common public, workplace, hotel, or home EVSE mismatch where the charging source is J1772 but the vehicle inlet is Tesla NACS.
The adapter is not usually the speed limit.

You still need station authorization.
