AC EVSE diagnostic simulator
Test the charging point before you blame the car.
ChargePapa StationCheck helps installers, EVSE sellers, property teams, fleet operators, and support teams check AC charging-station behavior before using a customer vehicle as the first diagnostic tool.
For AC charging-station testing, not DC fast charging.
Simulates EV states and cable current capability.
Supports PE pre-test, CP error, and earth-fault simulation.
CE · WEEE · Class II / double insulated · grounding warning symbols.
Pick the version by the charging-station connector
StationCheck is chosen by the AC charging point you need to inspect. It is not selected by vehicle brand.
| Station connector | Choose | SKU | Use case |
|---|---|---|---|
| SAE J1772 / Type 1 AC EVSE | StationCheck-J | StationCheck-J-701U | North American Type 1 AC station checks |
| Type 2 European Standard AC EVSE | StationCheck-T2 | StationCheck-T2-701E | Single-phase or three-phase Type 2 AC workflows |
| NACS / Tesla-style AC wallbox interface | StationCheck-N | StationCheck-N-701UT | NACS AC interface checks only; not Tesla Supercharger testing |
What StationCheck can test
Simulates EV connection and ready-to-charge states.
NC, 13A, 20A, 32A, and 63A cable states.
Checks for hazardous voltage on the PE conductor.
Simulates a CP fault path to observe station response.
Simulates PE conductor interruption.
Three LED lamps indicate detected L1 / L2 / L3 voltage presence.
Access L1, L2, L3, N, PE, and CP signal terminals for test instruments.
Applies to the North American / Type 1 configuration where supported.
Use StationCheck when
- You need repeatable AC charging-station checks.
- You are commissioning, inspecting, selling, or supporting EVSE equipment.
- You need to isolate red fault lights, failed handshakes, or connected-but-not-charging behavior.
Do not use it for
- Charging an EV. StationCheck does not deliver charging power.
- DC fast charging, CCS, CHAdeMO, or Tesla Supercharger testing.
- Powering external devices from the mains socket.

Technical notes for AC EVSE troubleshooting
StationCheck is a diagnostic simulator for AC EVSE workflows. It simulates selected vehicle states, cable current states, PE conditions, and CP error paths so a trained operator can observe station behavior before involving a real vehicle.
The mains socket and measuring terminals are for test purposes only. Do not use the mains socket to supply other devices, and do not load the mains socket and measuring terminals at the same time. Use in dry, clean environments and follow local electrical safety rules.
FAQ
No. StationCheck is a diagnostic simulator, not an EV charger. It is used to check AC charging-station behavior before a real vehicle is involved.
Choose by the charging-station connector: StationCheck-J for SAE J1772 / Type 1 AC EVSE, StationCheck-T2 for Type 2 AC EVSE, and StationCheck-N for NACS / Tesla-style AC wallbox interfaces.
No. StationCheck-N is for NACS AC interface checks only. It is not for Tesla Supercharger, DC fast-charging, app authorization, payment, or public fast-charging network access testing.
StationCheck is mainly for trained installers, EVSE resellers, maintenance teams, fleet operators, property operators, and support teams who need repeatable AC charging-station checks.
