No screen. No built-in cable. No compromise.
IP65. Three colours. Use any Type 2 cable you own.

V2 Specs: 7kW–22kW · Type 2 Socket · IP65 · WiFi / RFID / OCPP · CE · RoHS · UKCA · FCC

The ChargePapa V2 — The Euro Flex is a Type 2 socket wallbox. No cable is built in — you plug in using any standard Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable (sold separately or bundled). That means no cable to age, crack, or replace on the unit itself. Available in White, Sage Green, and Black. CE · RoHS · UKCA · FCC certified. IP65 rated — dust-tight and water-jet resistant. Optional OCPP 1.6J for commercial deployments.

🔌 Socket Design — Bring Your Own Cable, or Add Ours

The V2 has a Type 2 socket (IEC 62196-2) on the unit. To charge, you connect a Type 2 to Type 2 cable between the wallbox and your car. This is the standard cable used across Europe — many EV owners already own one, or keep one in the car.

No cable built into the unit means no cable wear on the wallbox, no UV degradation of a fixed gun, and no replacement cost if a cable is damaged — just swap the cable. If you need a cable, ChargePapa Type 2 to Type 2 cables are available separately.

🔌 No cable on the unit. No cable to age on the unit.

The V2 socket design means the wallbox itself has no moving cable parts to wear out. Use any IEC 62196-2 Type 2 to Type 2 cable. If a cable gets damaged, replace the cable — not the wallbox.

🎨 White. Sage Green. Black. Pick the one that fits your wall.

Most wallboxes come in one colour. The V2 comes in three. Match your garage door, carport cladding, or building exterior. A charger that looks like it was chosen, not just installed.

📡 No screen — just the LED ring and your phone.

The LED ring shows session status at a glance. Live power, session history, RFID management, and scheduled charging all live in the app. Fewer components means fewer things to fail outdoors.

🏢 Start at home. Scale to a car park. Same hardware.

Optional OCPP 1.6J support means the V2 connects to any commercial charge management platform. Install at home today — if you move to shared parking, the same unit integrates into a managed network. No hardware swap.

🇬🇧 UKCA certified. The right charger for the UK market.

UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) is the post-Brexit UK market access certification. The V2 carries UKCA alongside CE, RoHS, and FCC — covering the UK, EU, and North American wireless standards in one unit.

💧 IP65. Rain, pressure wash, coastal air — it handles it.

IP65 means fully dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. One step above the IP54 on most home wallboxes. Suitable for exposed outdoor walls, open carports, and coastal properties.

🎯 Which V2 Euro Flex Is Right for You?

Step 1 — Connector Type

All V2 variants use the same Type 2 socket (IEC 62196-2) — the universal AC charging standard across Europe, the UK, and Australia. No connector selection needed. You supply a standard Type 2 to Type 2 cable.

Your Vehicle Inlet

Step 2 — Match Your Site Power Supply & Vehicle OBC

The right power level depends on (1) your home or site electrical supply (single-phase or three-phase) and (2) your vehicle's onboard charger (OBC) capacity. All three power levels are available in White, Green, or Black.

🏢 Three-Phase Workplace / Apartment

  • Three-phase 400V supply
  • 16A per phase
  • ~60–70 km range/hour
  • Shared parking / multi-bay

Best for: Apartment blocks, office parking, Hyundai IONIQ 6, Peugeot e-308, Renault Megane E-Tech

Max Power

22kW

CP-V2-EU22 · $539

🏨 Three-Phase High-Throughput

  • Three-phase 400V supply
  • 32A per phase
  • ~120–130 km range/hour
  • Hotel / fleet / fast turnaround

Best for: Renault Zoe (22kW OBC), Mercedes EQS (22kW OBC), Porsche Taycan, hotel & hospitality, fleet depots

How to confirm your site supply: Check your electrical panel. Single-phase = 1 live wire (L) + neutral (N) — typical in most UK and EU homes. Three-phase = 3 live wires (L1, L2, L3) + neutral — common in newer builds, apartments with shared infrastructure, and commercial premises. The 11kW and 22kW variants cannot operate on single-phase supply. The 22kW variant only delivers full power to vehicles with a three-phase 32A onboard charger — verify your vehicle's OBC capacity in the owner's manual before ordering.

🏠 Who Is the V2 Built For?

The UK homeowner in London, Manchester, or Edinburgh who needs a UKCA-certified wallbox for a post-Brexit compliant installation. The V2 carries both CE and UKCA — covering EU and UK market requirements in a single unit. The Sage Green colour option blends into period properties and garden walls without looking industrial.

The EU property manager in Amsterdam, Brussels, or Munich installing chargers across a shared car park or apartment block. OCPP 1.6J support means each V2 unit connects to a central charge management platform — billing tenants, monitoring sessions, managing access remotely. Start with one unit, scale to twenty, same hardware.

The EV owner who already has a Type 2 cable — or keeps one in the car. The V2 socket means you use the cable you already own. No duplicate cable, no cable stored on the wall, no cable to replace when it wears out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the V2 come with a cable?

A: The ChargePapa V2 is a socket wallbox — it does not include a built-in cable. You need a standard IEC 62196-2 Type 2 to Type 2 cable to charge your vehicle. Many EV owners already own one, or keep one in the car. If you need a cable, ChargePapa Type 2 to Type 2 cables are available separately. This design means no cable ages or wears on the unit itself.

Q: The V2 has no screen — how do I know it's charging?

A: The LED ring on the ChargePapa V2 shows session status at a glance — solid colour when charging, pulsing when idle, different colour for faults. For detailed data (live kWh, voltage, session history), open the app. No screen means no LCD to fog, crack, or fail outdoors over time.

Q: What is UKCA certification and why does it matter?

A: UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) is the post-Brexit equivalent of CE marking for the Great Britain market. Since January 2023, products sold in Great Britain must carry UKCA. The ChargePapa V2 carries both CE and UKCA — compliant for sale and installation in both the EU and the UK without requiring separate product variants.

Q: What is the difference between the V2 and the MRS-ED?

A: The V2 is a socket wallbox — no cable on the unit, you supply a Type 2 to Type 2 cable. The MRS-ED has a built-in detachable gun and cable. The V2 also adds IP65 (vs IP54), UKCA certification, OCPP 1.6J, and three colour options. The MRS-ED has a 4.3" LCD screen. Choose V2 if you already own a cable, want no cable wear on the unit, need UKCA, or want OCPP. Choose MRS-ED if you want a built-in cable and LCD display.

Q: Which configuration should I choose — 7kW, 11kW, or 22kW?

A: If you have single-phase power (most UK and EU homes), choose the 32A single-phase variant (7.36kW). If you have three-phase power, the 16A×3 (11kW) or 32A×3 (22kW) variants are available. The 22kW option is only beneficial if your vehicle's onboard charger supports three-phase AC input at 32A. Confirm with your electrician before ordering.

Q: Does the V2 support OCPP for commercial use?

A: Yes — OCPP 1.6J is available as an optional configuration. This allows the V2 to connect to any OCPP-compatible charge management platform for billing, access control, and remote monitoring. Suitable for shared parking, apartment blocks, and small commercial fleets. Specify OCPP at order time.

Q: Is the V2 rated for outdoor installation?

A: Yes. The ChargePapa V2 carries IP65 ingress protection — fully dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. It operates from -25°C to +50°C, suitable for outdoor wall mounting in UK, EU, and Australian climates including exposed coastal locations.

⚠️ Critical Usage Note

  • This wallbox is for AC charging only. Do not connect to DC fast charging infrastructure.
  • A Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable is required and is not included with the V2 wallbox.
  • Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local wiring regulations (BS 7671 in the UK, IEC 60364 in the EU).
  • Do not exceed the rated current for your specific variant.
  • Inspect the socket and housing before each use. Do not use if cracked or damaged.
  • OCPP and 4G options must be specified at order time and cannot be added after purchase.
