🎯 Which MRS-EA2 Single Phase Is Right for You?
Both models use Type 2 (IEC 62196-2) output. The only decision is which socket you have. Two questions — 30 seconds.
Step 1 — Your Vehicle's Charging Port
All EU-spec EVs: VW ID.3/4/7, BMW i3/i4/iX, Mercedes EQA–EQS, Audi e-tron/Q4, Renault Zoe/Mégane, Hyundai IONIQ 5/6, Kia EV6/EV9, Tesla EU-spec, Peugeot e-208, Citroën ë-C4. Plug straight in — no adapter.
US-spec CCS1, CHAdeMO (older Nissan LEAF), GB/T (China-spec), or NACS (US Tesla) vehicles are not compatible. This charger is for EU-spec Type 2 port vehicles only.
Step 2 — Your Socket Type & Charging Scenario
You have a standard EU household socket (Schuko). Zero installation cost. Charges ~20–25km of range per hour. Stepless 6–16A — dial down if sharing the circuit with other appliances. Ideal for overnight home charging.
You have a CEE 32A blue industrial socket (common at campsites, workshops, and many EU workplaces). Twice the speed of the Schuko model — ~40–50km of range per hour. Stepless 6–32A.
You charge at home (Schuko), at campsites (CEE 32A), and at the office. Both models include a wall-mount bracket and carry bag. Choose the model that matches your primary socket — or get both for full flexibility.
💡 How to identify your socket: A Schuko socket (CEE 7/4) is the standard round 2-pin + earth socket found in most EU homes — it looks like a recessed round hole with two round pins and an earth clip on the side. A CEE 32A Blue socket is a round industrial plug with 3 pins + earth + neutral, typically blue in colour, with "32A" stamped on the face. If you're unsure, check with your electrician. The 7kW model requires a dedicated CEE 32A socket — it will not plug into a standard Schuko outlet.

Q: What's the difference between the 3.5kW and 7kW models?
A: The 3.5kW (MRS-EA2-03016) uses a Schuko plug and works from any standard EU household socket — zero installation needed. The 7kW (MRS-EA2-07032) uses a CEE 32A blue industrial plug and requires a dedicated 32A socket, common at campsites, workshops, and many workplaces. Both share the same IP54 enclosure, LCD display, and TÜV/CB certifications.
Q: Can I adjust the current to avoid tripping my circuit breaker?
A: Yes. Stepless button control lets you set current from 6A to 16A (or 32A) in 1A increments. Lower it when sharing a circuit with other appliances, raise it when the panel is free.
Q: Is this compatible with my EV?
A: If your EV has a Type 2 (IEC 62196-2) AC charging port — which covers all EU-spec EVs including VW, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Renault, Hyundai, Kia, Tesla EU, Peugeot, and more — yes, it's compatible. AC Level 1/2 only, not DC fast charging.
Q: Is the MRS-EA2 TÜV certified?

Q: Can I wall-mount it?

Q: Do I need the app to use it?
No — the unit works fully standalone via LCD and button controls. But WiFi, Bluetooth, and App (iOS & Android) are included as standard on every MRS-EA2, same as the TA2 and AA2. Scheduling and remote monitoring are available from day one, no upgrade needed.
- The 7kW model requires a dedicated CEE 32A (IEC 60309) industrial socket. Do not use with standard household sockets.
- Always select a current rating at or below 80% of your circuit breaker's capacity.
- Do not daisy-chain extension cords. Connect directly to a dedicated outlet.
